Dan Burnstein, President

A lifelong Tulsan, Dan Burnstein graduated from Edison High School in 1985 and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in 1989.  His flying career began during college when he became a Certified Flight Instructor and worked at the local flight school.

In 1989, he began flying as co-pilot on Learjets for Omni Air Transport, and went on to receive his ATP and Learjet type rating in 1990 at the age of twenty-three years old.  Since then, Dan has continued to advance at Omni Air Transport, becoming a Captain in the Learjet in 1990, the company Flight Instructor in 1993, and company Check Airman in 1994.  Currently, Dan has approximately 8,000 hours total time with over 6,000 Learjet hours.  In 1999, Dan was appointed Director of Operations and
today also holds the title of President of Omni Air Transport.

Under his direction, the company has continued to grow from a one-aircraft operation to an ARG/US Platinum Charter Operator with six aircraft, and growing.  His attention to detail and active involvement in each department at Omni Air Transport has earned him the nickname “Safety Dan” by one of Omni’s long-time customers.  Recently, Steve Watkins, a Senior Flight Instructor at Flight Safety named Dan Burnstein the “Poster Child for Cockpit Resource Management (CRM), the foundation of aircraft safety.
